I generally prefer to play classical music instead of listening to it, but this one's great on both sides. Some parts of the Friska absolutely kill your right forearm muscles, and I still have no idea how she plays some sections with such speed and accuracy, but hopefully I'll get there eventually. This piece singlehandedly rekindled my love for piano - I stopped taking lessons three years ago, and until I started trying out this song, I'd often go weeks without practicing at all. Nowadays, I try to get in at least half an hour a day on just this piece, and it's absolutely fun as hell.

I've been really enjoying Colin J. Rudd's versions of the songs from The Lord of the Rings and The Adventures of Tom Bombodil. There's just something so wistful about his voice and the way he sings the songs... I find it enchanting.

I've been on a lot of music kicks this year, but this one that's just starting up of "let's actually legitimately get into more 90s emo" has gotta be one of the best ones so far. Next song will prolly be a Jawbreaker one once I figure out my new favorite of theirs. It will be a mighty challenge. For now, something a bit later.
