as I received this phone call, it began to rain, as if God Himself was weeping at the constant babble I had to endure on this long journey of mine
that or the weather was just shit in this part of hoenn, but I like to believe the first thing more

apparently there's a group of bug trainers who spend all their time mimicing people in this giant grass heap, while rain and lightning fall from the sky

and so I cross this bridge, a monument to mans ability to overcome any challenge thrown at them, in the scenic rain of route 119
it'd be a cooler shot had I taken it when my arms were out

meet the new box filler, slightly different from the old box filler

at least that's what I assume she was doing, idfk

I pity the janitor who has to clean her up

before I could continue I learned that yes, team magma does in fact harass areas outside of the immediate mount chimney area

and so, as quickly as they appeared, they left

and so I saved the weatherman

as thanks, I received the pokemon team aqua was trying to steal

they called it castform, which lowered my hopes of it being cool in any way

and so I obtained this "castform"

its a floating ball with tits
fucking weathermen

tired from the constant battle with both the weather and trainers, I went to take a nap in the public bed

next time we reach fortree city

the mimic circle has always been such a weird bunch of npcs in the hoenn games to me... never understood why they were so obsessed with mimicry

tropius is a pretty decent pick! definitely one of my favorite mons in the series, its also pretty good to use against the many water-types in this game!

castform, on the other hand is... well. castform. not too much to say about it.

they;re bug catchers, so I guess mimicry is the only way they thought they could be cool

well its a new week, so time for a new part of my nuzlocke

while I was taking a nap, it stopped raining
fucking humid island countrys

heading down south, I found an elixir
this while certainly be useful and not just sit in my bag for the rest of the journey

and since my team is finally fully evolve, I decided to see how they compare

after learning that the match does not have a delete contacts option, I cross the bridge to see steven staring at nothing

and so steven threw me into battle

it was a kecleon, so geck beat it pretty handily

and so he gave me the spiel about pokemon and humans working together
then he got a phonecall and had to cut it short, so I was thankful to whatever sugardaddy got his urges at this exact moment

after making some minor team adjustments, I got a phone call, breaking my stride

anyway it turns out there was a kecleon blocking the way to the the gym, damn chameleons

being the gym guy must be a super underappreciated job honestly, what with the insane bosses and the disrespectful challengers

I then learned that they have anti rock measures
also I trained solus up for this gym

fucking fire spin is a weakass move though, so that went poorly

I then learned that fortree is secretly in a dytopic alternate timeline from the rest of hoenn
that or the local bug population is more threatening then I thought

turns out the swellow has an attack to make a pokemosn hp equal to its own
it did this when a water pokemon was out
while i had riri use rollout
needless to say, I dodged a bullet, probably

also this, it'd might've been useful if you know, riri was built for attack and not being a meatshield

also he sent out this weird totem bird thing
that's apparently from johto
why am I only just now learning about so many johto pokemon?

also bits made it through a grass type battle without getting mauled by leaves!
I'm so proud of her

and so I faced down winona at last

also while this is happening solus is suffering the effects of a perish song

and then she switched

so I introduced her bird to tork

they got along well

similarly well was the introduction between expoldo and her pelipper

and so with few other options, winona went out her ace

unfortunately, even with dragon dance, altaria falls to the power of the quick claw

and then her tropius had a bad time

or rather, she would've if riri could hurt things worth a damn

and then she hyper potioned
when I had riri lock into rollout

fortunately, this didn't ended with her horrible leaf induced death

and then she missed the last rollout
damn it

fournantly it seems this move did nothing

unfortunately, that earlier assessment was incorrect, and riri became an icecube for my hubris

with little difficulty, all things considered

and thus I have reach 3/4s of the badge count

upon leaving the gym and waiting for my regular kidnapping, I received a phone call

it was scott, calling me for mysterious unknown reasons

apparently he has a plant in the league system, because it hasn't been more then 3 minutes since I battled winona

"does this mean I wont meet you in person for the rest of the journey?"

"oh here I am, innocently entering the pokemon center, hope I dont get kidnapped by an imp"

I hate it when adversarys get predictable

and then he fucked off, so I entered the scroll to find....

on closer inspection, they appear to simply be robots
less an oh god and more an oh crap honestly

he calls them mechadolls which is dumb

little does he know the pokedex has full access to the internet at all times so I can just look it up on the inbuilt search engine

I thought he was just being egotistical

then I realized that I haven't even begun to grasp the depths of the trick masters villainy

anyways I got the code

so I faced off the final and most powerful mechadoll

who still falls to the power of birchle the same as all the others
shame

and so they begged me not to hurt them anymore, because tricky programmed them to feel pain when I answer questions correctly

fucking sadist

and so I beat the trick master once again

its taking him longer to think up puzzles at last, so the loses are getting to him

and I'm getting closer to him admitting I'm better

clearly this will be a super useful move instead of a gimmick meant for other measures
idk I didn't actually look at the description

literally, I was lifted up and thrown out at a great speed by some invisible force

and then I beat up her pond kappas

with mild difficulty

"aren't most pokemon fit foroutdoors, they're wild animals we capture in their nativa habitats"

and then I found gold lying on the ground
interesting

as I was crossing this bridge, I noticed that the rain was fading out, into a nice cloudy afternoon, with the sun appearing and disappearing behind the clouds, like a young child playing hide and seek
as this was happening, I thought about the adventure I was having
how I mey my dad
how I learned to deal with lose
how I even made a couple of friends
and yet, I dont feel that different
was the change gradual, or has the journey simply not change who I was, but how I dealt with people

as soon as I was finished staring at the sky, this jackass called me to tell me he sucks at battling

and so I entered the final stretch to lilycove

also tork was the one who whirlwind set up, so the battle went extremely well all things considered

fortunately this woman was more then happy to tell me what it was

then I learned that team aqua wants to add grave robbing to their glowing list of crimes
the fiends

and I then learned the senior had a slacking

fortunately, she used it ineffectively, so everything when better then expected

well this looks like something I should come back to later, since for now I just wanted to reach lilycove

of course this was on geck, so I dont think she had anything to worry about

and then the route mocked me

and then I was called by this person I dont remember

afterwords I battled this old dude

I thought he was undeserving cocky, so I battled him

so I sent out bits

and she then she got paraylzed

I think she's as frustrated with this shit as I am because christ it keeps happening

and then he thought I was good enough to be seen as a memento
feels good honestly

after words I was ambushed by this floating sock puppet thing

and that's the last we'll see of envy

sorry about the hiatus, I haven't been motivated to make this thing for the past week

Spoiler: part 36, lilycove exploration part 1

instead of doing something sensible like finding the pokemon center, I decided to make small talk with the locals

it wasn't the smartest thing to do because all I got was half remembered quotes and local geography

I'll be honest, I completely forgot about this interview

it was a difficult battle

one that shall go down in history for its extreme back and fourth fighting

how may put up the greatest fight I ever had

a more difficult fight I had never known

truly she was my greatest opposition

anyways I won

she didn't answer this

"continue the gym challenge, maybe fight off some terrorists"
