I found a shiny male Joltik while in the grass during my randomized White 2 Game of Thrones Nuzlocke. In that ruleset, shinies are not only fair game no matter what, but have special powers as well. Needless to say, I’m quite satisfied with Ser Gilchrist Crakehall.

So I found a Modest Zubat in Verdant Cavern in my Moon Nuzlocke, which...I don't know if that's helpful or not. Special Attack is Crobat's lowest stat. Before I can leave, I run into an encounter and look away to see how my boyfriend's doing in Hades. When I look back, there's a green bat flapping its wings in my face. My first ever shiny in Gen 7, and it's a Zubat. I'm fairly sure my first shiny in FRLG way back when was a Zubat. I still catch it, of course (hooray for Shiny Clause!).

And it's Rash (+Sp.Atk, -Sp.Def). I'm not sure how to make a mixed attacker out of Crobat, but I'll try for this crazy bat's sake.

Me and my brother have been doing VS Nuzlockes against each other, and we just started Sapphire. I'm in Granite Cave training my new catches (Goldeen and Makuhita) when suddenly, out of the blue (or brown...)...!

This isn't my first shiny ever, or even my first in gen 3 [that'd be Safari Zone Parasect, which I DID catch :^)], it is my first in Sapphire, so that's still cool.

Nature's a bit worse than the one I had (neutral over +spdef/-spd), and so is the ability (Thick Fat protects against bro's Combusken's Fire STAB), but hey, I really can't complain. Welcome to the team, Slapdash!

For the record, if you're looking at the OT: No, my name isn't Frank. I named the trainer after this guy.

Was doing some rather insane studying yesterday, but took a break to do some Max Raid Battles online since they were easy in and out and didn't take a whole lot of thought. One of the ones I joined was a shiny Tyrantum. Since I wasn't host, didn't want to gamble on the catch and used one of several Master Balls I've picked up from all those people wonder trading genned Pokemon. So, now I have a 31/31/31/x/x/31 Docile Tyrantum. Just need a Bottlecap and a Mint and it'd be ready to go!

decided to go shiny hunting in go after finally finishing my living dex, here are a few I caught so far

So, datamining recently revealed that static encounters such as the Regis in the Crown Tundra and the Impidimp in Glimwood Tangle are not affected by the Shiny Charm. They will always be 1/4096.

This explains by my Regidrago hunt took 2401. I thought I was almost 2x over odds. I wasn't.

So I figured I'd be at my Regieleki hunt for a while then, so I'd been putting it off.

Spoiler: NOPE! 313 encounters.

Now my Living Dex is now complete since I wanted to have my first Regieleki be Shiny.
