Pokemon can suddenly become a good setting for horror if you think about it for too long.
The same person who though dumping a ton of babies into the wild just because they were dime a dozen was a good idea. That person was snooty as heck.

*Stopping to think about what happens to all those pokemon you release from a shiny hunt who are just plain normal, it can get pretty horrifying. Getting dumped on your own with your siblings, abandoned by your parents shortly after being born, all for something you had no control over. Yuuya and Ava were both one of these pokemon. And oh boy you know that if there's potential to to mess with my characters I'll take it. But in the pokemon world it's perfectly legal. What's wrong with letting pokemon "return to nature" and give them their "freedom". Overlooking the fact that these pokemon are younger than actual children, and are extremely easy pickings, both physically and mentally for omnivorous pokemon. The other chance these pokemon really stand is if they band together, toughen up, or through sheer dumb luck.
*Hey, remember back on page 17 when that Sobble gave Yuuya that pokeball. That was Yuuya's pokeball. It's one way to get into the ownership of your desired trainer.
*Oh boy shady angst! The plus side of the shady life is that you get to look hecking cool. The downside is losing everyone's trust through the lies you have to tell.

I have a whole cast of characters worth of secrets to reveal. I've got to space it out. Becides, Yuuya still has plenty of shady backstory left to share.
Let's see, he lied about his age to get into the starter pokemon program and he used water to turn himself invisible.
I looked into lesser explored areas of the games, and I haven't really seen anyone examine the consequences of shiny hunting that much. Yuuya's shrowed in mystery, and your curiosity is much appreciated.

Corrin gained a high perfect from all that battling she did earlier. At this point anything's going to send her flying.
Now that you point it out Corrin could make a huge scene about Gloria attacking her with her pokemon and getting in trouble, if Corrin was smart enough to do that. But Corrin's fate was sealed the moment she started fighting Gloria's team.
Author's notes:
*Corrin was at a pretty high percent from fighting earlier. At this point, anything would send her flying, even a branch poke. Cue the high five, of doom!
*My friend's character Krystal makes a cameo here. She's opening the door to the gym. For the longest time I had that panel blank because I wanted to ask to use someone's character there, but then I chickened out of asking them and just drew my friend's character in that spot instead almost a year later. The cameos aren't coming quite yet, they won't really start to show until after the first gym battle.
*If Gloria kept going she probably would have won, only for Yuuya to run back to Corrin once Gloria wasn't looking.

The "Lizzie can't sing" panel had me dying. Poor Lizzie looks so derpy and innocent there, she doesn't deserve that kind of slander.

*Looks at Okochan and Corrin* Yeah, everything seems to be normal. *Hop being sensible* Signal the alarms! This would never happen! This could be the end of the world! And yeah, Corrin's percent is that high.
Lizzie's singing is so good, she managed to find peace between the Rockenrola and Timburr with her songs, who's Icarus to say that Lizzie can't sing.
My classes are starting soon, and it's going to be the busiest semester for me yet. Due to this, Questionable Influence will only be uploading 1 page a month until 2023. That's my entire current buffer, though I've also got a 5th page 85% done.
Author's notes:
*Lizzie has lived in a cave her whole life, so she is really not used to technology. What goes from "Odd but okay" for most pokemon goes to "Where the Helix am I?" for Lizzie.
*Here you can see one of my favorite parts of making Questionable Influence, analyzing the mind of a meme. Corrin's freak out panels went through a few revisions, as my first draft was too vague, and it was a fine line between giving too much and too little detail before going into her whole backstory.
*Remember to blink when you're flashbacking for extended periods of time.
