Okay, brief introduction time. So for those of you who don't know, this is my current "main" run. It had been going over on Tapatalk for a few months now, but with the forum move I'll have to port it all over here. I'll (hopefully) be moving one part every 1-2 days, but if you don't wanna wait, you can go over to the original thread where I made it to Part 15. Without further ado, feel free to enjoy.

Hello everyone. You may remember me from a single Sapphire nuzlocke I made roughly 3-4 years ago, if you were one of the 5 people who read it. It was corny and bad, but that's in the past. Since then I've tried some more nuzlockes outside this site, varieties included, but never managed to be done with them definitively, ie get to the E4. Not because I die a lot, rather because I run outta steam. So I figured perhaps posting here again would give me the push needed to finally finish one of these suckers.
We're going back to my origins in Nuzlockedom with Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. I have only played a bit of this game, so I'm doing this mostly blind (to anything not from the original game, of course). Let's go over the rules then, shall we?

1. If a Pokemon in my party faints, they're considered dead.
2. I can only catch the first Dark type Pokemon I encounter on any given area, as soon as I get Pokeballs.
3. Only three heals per battle.
4. If I find any shiny, even if it's not Dark type, I'm allowed to catch it (but not use it unless it's Dark).
5. No dupes clause. If I find a repeat, I have to either catch or kill it, and can't catch anything else.
6. I have to nickname every Pokemon (aside from the starter, which I won't use beyond the beginning of the game). The theme is fictional villains.

Aaaand suddenly nighttime. Either that clock in my room is magical, I blacked out for a couple hours there, or I've entered a parallel dimension.

Oh cool, so I can't even get out of this town without some form of anti-Pokemon defense? Nice.

Definitely some sort of setup here. Doesn't surprise me coming from Creeper McPervy's family over here.

This one evolves into a fighting type, and that's pretty much the antithesis of what I'm aiming for, so no.

This one doesn't look half bad, but I just know the next trainer who comes along will get the fire chicken just to screw me over. I do not want to fight that thing when it evolves.

I'm a sucker for monolockes, so I'll definitely be watching this one. And considering there's really... *looks at Bulbapedia* six Dark-type lines in Hoenn, this is going to be very interesting how you play it out.

A word of advice though, you might want to put some spaces in between the text and the screenshots so that it looks like this for comparison.

@Dustox: Good point on the space between the text and pictures. Since I'm touching this up a bit already, might as well do that also!

Fun fact: When planning what to do for my next Nuzlocke, I had decided to do a mono dark run on Pokemon Y. Then I found out Citra didn't support X and Y, so I started on this one. Turns out now it does, so that's cool I guess.

@Dustox: Brawly could definitely have gone a lot worse. Still, Shen's death would probably have been preventable had I not been so boneheaded as to not evolve them. Things do get easier from now, at least for a bit.

hey, this is a pretty neat run! :O

i don't think i've ever seen a dark-type monolocke of alpha sapphire before, since, well... there really aren't that many dark-types in the game, ESPECIALLY in the earlygame

still, i like the cute interactions that the characters have with eachother, and i can't wait to see how the run fares
