The event is a variation of the 100 Days of Making Comics Challenge by Kevin Cross. The idea is to spend 30 minutes a day, every single day, working on your comic. At the end of the 100 days, if you stick with it, you’ll have made good progress on your project as well as paved the way for yourself to do more in the future. And all the while, your peers will be here to be your hype-squad!
The 2020 event will start on September 23rd and run until January 1st. The Discord server for the event will open on August 20th.
#Introductions — Introduce yourself and your project. Serves as a directory of users and their comics.
#Workpact-time — Get together with others for 30 minute work sessions. The @Pact-Pals role is self-assignable and pingable.
#Check-in — Each day there is a round-up to share what you got done for your 30 minutes. Every 10 check-ins you can ask a mod for a higher level role that ultimately caps at level 100. You can opt-in to the self-assignable @100-days-crew role for the bot to ping you for round-ups.
#Concrit — A channel to ask for constructive criticism, and you work out technical aspects of your comic.
#General — General Chat, go nutso
#Resources — For sharing helpful resources
#Art-Share — This is where you can share your art and WIPs with everyone.
#Media-and-Memes — For media, memes, so on and so forth.
#Bot-Stuff — This is where you can harass the bots and assign yourself roles.
Discord is the easiest way to communicate over voice, video, and text. Chat, hang out, and stay close with your friends and communities.
