"BBBBBBBBBBZZZZZ???!?!?!?!?!?"

The insectoid is hit with a blast that rattles its mind, it looks as if it is shrieking, and begins to swing the Honedge around rapidly... Except it isn't the Honedge... The Yamask has gotten itself trapped inside of the burly muscles of the beast.

"BBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!??!?!??!??!"

It smashes the Yamask into itself, over and over, while it does hurt the muscular mosquito, the slams bash the Yamask hard as well. Eventually, the beast recovers its senses.

"BBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!"

The bug begins to siphon electricity out of the claw holding the masked ghost, the crackles snapping along the ground, causing the small ghost to cry out in agony. The beast then throws the Yamask, directly at the Honedge, causing an electrical explosion that sends the two flying out onto another island.

After that brutish display of power, the feeling of a beak smacks onto the bug's flesh, and it shrieks in misery!

"
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"

The creature has bullet like marks covering its backside, its wings covered in holes... It then stands still for a second... its body restoring itself slowly, and its skin hardening into a steel like density.

"
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It then leaps into the air at the Murkrow, grabbing it by the throat. It siphons electricity yet again, and throws the beaten bird down at the Frillish, inciting another explosion.

It stayed in the air, posing, as if it was saying "Haha, I won."

It then floated down, and prepared to grab the Yamask again in order to have another meal...

Well, things turn out so bad, so quickly. The Red beast just threw the Yamask and the Murkrow to the others like it was nothing, causing tremendous explosions that could deeply injure the four. And to make things even worse, that giant monster made poses of victory while healing itself.
All of their efforts were for nothing.

And there´s Fiona, she was the only one left intact in this whole ordeal. Everyone else were pushed into another islands, the Fairy couldn´t do anything to assist them, unless; She was fully witness to the Ghost type´s Protect, and could copy it with her Copycat. If she call it´s attention, the Protect would stall long enough for the others to either escape or make a move.

She fully understood this is a battle they couldn´t win, but Fiona would rather sacrifice herself than to see another Pokémon suffer.

HEY....big.....red....thingy. How about...... you get a .......Fairy type Encore! The Flabébé tried to shout as loud as possible; she may have a slight bit of fear, but regretted none of her decisions.

Jack put his heart into his blow, as his finally struck and perforated the thin wings of the creature. He felt the thing shudder and emit a mouth-less shriek, just as the starry Frillish had earlier. How these creatures managed to do such a thing without an obvious mouth was wholly unknown, but the way it felt made it appear as if the scream itself was a weapon, like a sharp barb into the back of his mind. Jack hoped that the wordless nature of the screams meant that they weren't harmful. He was no stranger to the notion of using sound as a tool to inflict suffering; some Murkrow were certainly capable of shrieking loud enough to rupture eardrums, and there were always the old tales, stories of fell songs, instruments of such unimaginable power that even uttering them aloud caused both listener and singer to perish in moments.
He hoped that the strength in this creature was much more of a physical nature. As much as he wanted to take it down, he didn't want that victory to be a Pyrrhic one.

After his initial strike dug a great hole into one of the left wings of the creature, he quickly got to work pecking at the others, ripping new, smaller holes in all of the wings. The strikes became smaller and shallower as time went on, the Murkrow's beak finding it increasingly more difficult to break through as time continued. The chitin was becoming stronger and stronger, becoming even stronger than the creature's head he had struck before, and forcing him to stop his assault. Hopefully the damage he had done would be enough to cripple the creature's ability to fly. It almost seemed as if the holes he had already carved were thinning, becoming smaller, however...

Whatever satisfaction he gained from his strikes was short-lived. Even though he was able to dodge the clumsy swings of the Yamask in the creature's grasp, he wasn't able to see that the creature had freed its hand. Jack barely saw the movement of his teammate being thrown aside like a ragdoll, with the resulting explosion from Osiris striking the Honedge almost unnoticable except for it causing a few feathers to stand up on the back of his neck. He didn't expect said neck to end up in the creature's grasp moment later.

The way that the creature lunged into the air so quickly caught him by surprise. He hadn't expected such a massive creature to be so quick; the third time he'd made that mistake with these things. The way the massive hand held his throat was horrifying, dwarfing his neck with fingers that could crush his entire body with the tiniest of movements. He felt the foreign liquid pulse through the monster's hand every few moments in an unnatural heartbeat, causing the muscle to expand and contract in a movement that threatened to snap his bones every few seconds. He'd never been at the mercy at a creature in such a way before, fully knowing that it didn't kill him merely because it'd be too quick, too easy, too dull.
A prickling feeling began to surge across his body, building and building until his muscles began to tighten on their own. He'd been lucky enough to avoid electricity up until this point, and the inability to control his body was a new, and terrifying, development. He could only watch as he was lobbed with force at the Frillish, and the energy dispelled in an agonizing blast. His muscles spasmed for what felt like an eternity, robbing him of the ability to breathe or move. Before unconsciousness kicked in, the surge mercifully ended and restored control back to himself, leaving him next to the Frillish as a smoldering mess, looking towards the muscled creature as it seemed to gloat, basking in how effortless it was to annihilate him.

HEY....big.....red....thingy. How about...... you get a .......Fairy type Encore!

Was Fiona really fighting a foe miles above them in power...again? Whoever this person was, she had just seen herself die an absolutely unimaginable death and still was willing to fight. In another place and another time, she had fought the strange Frillish until unconsciousness in an attempt to save him.
How could he do anything less? Besides, it seemed he had a debt to pay.

Even with the ability to move restored, he hardly could. The smallest movements hurt like hell, and he could barely move without risking blacking out from the pain. Even trying to face another direction brought a titanic amount of suffering. He'd never be able to fight like this.
Not knowing what to do next, he wheezed out a response to the Frillish, unable to move his neck to face him.
"I'm...not sure if you're even conscious right now, but it seems we're about at the end of things. Not many options left."
"I've seen you muddle the minds of these creatures before, make them go wild. If you've got a way to focus that, make it less of an indescriminate rage, well...I think I've got one last idea."
"Much as I hate the idea of having my mind toyed with....Hit me with it, give me a shot at getting back up. We need someone to go toe to toe with that thing, someone able to let loose, and need someone to give that Honedge a chance to get stronger. Otherwise we're all going to go the way of Fiona here."

The Murkrow contorts his face in a smirk, as much as it hurts to do so.
"Besides, I'd rather go out hammered into oblivion than be eaten alive like this. You game for making a berserker?"

Ughhhhhhh- groaned Delia as she got up after getting hit by a flying Osiris.

Seeing the creature rush toward them, though, only one thought entered Delia's mind: that she should protect Osiris.

Let's go, then! as she attempted to Tackle the creature headed toward her.

oh fuck oh shit my dots...............................................................................................................................
The electric wave ignites across Osiris like a storm at sea, and he wails. He was not, by any means, a fighter. Defense came naturally, but pain was a ship that passed in the night; he knew it only conceptually, so when the wave of electricity seized him it felt like the needling jaws of a beast held wrenched his control from his hands. Osiris does not register as he collides with his ally. Shock threatened to pull him under completely, pulling just above the surface of unconsciousness as another thunderous crash shook the island.

"HEY....big.....red....thingy. How about...... you get a .......Fairy type Encore!"

Her voice trembled. She was but a speck compared to the might of the beast, threatened to be consumed like her other. Osiris pushed himself upright with a pained gasp. His everything hurt, as if he had been wrung out and drawn into a tense cord. He was frayed around he edges, threatening to come undone. The ground shook, and Osiris felt the beast approach. It's oppressive aura signaled it's approach before Osiris could even turn to see it. It cast no shadow in the strange world, but a black cloud of dread cast itself over Osiris. The aftershocks of it's attack shivered through the ghost.

"Let's go, then!"

Delia nimbly launched herself over him, and towards the beast. It was, frankly, an impressive amount of force, and he saw the beast knock up a wisp of dust as it was pushed back. It wasn't much, but it was proof that Delia had done something before to steel herself, and it had worked. Osiris could barely pull himself from the dirt, but he rose, eyes fixed on he beast in the opening Delia had made for him. His hands stretched outwards, towards the beast, bu his power reached further. The moment of vulnerability was all he needed to do his work, twisting the memory of lighting that galvanized it's musculature until a mess of incomprehensible thought was left tangled in his target's mind. It would disable the electric move that had wreaked such havoc on them, and hopefully buy them a spare few moments to take the titan down.

With the pokedex number of 493, this Pokemon is essentially Arceus and fully intends to let the power get to his head.
Judging by the Buzzes emitted from the creature, it sounded like the team was doing good against it. That last buzz in particular sounded like they had dealt some serious damage to it. In fact, the screams were so painful that Sylvain felt tempted to stick his head out of the vines and see if the coast is clear. Unfortunately, as he did so, the creature let out one last buzz.

"BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

With that last buzz, Sylvain got the treat of watch the Murkrow get zapped with electricity and thrown...towards himself. Sylvain lets out an un-manly scream as the Murkrow collides with himself and destroys his hiding spot, scattering the leaves about like an opened bag of lettuce.

Sylvain found himself at deaths door. The collision with the electrocuted Murkrow was clearly able to do both Dark and Electric damage towards him, and being hit with 2 of his weaknesses was enough to cripple him. As far as he could tell, he only had 1 last chance to stop it before it defeated him and had to rely on -

"HEY....big.....red....thingy. How about...... you get a .......Fairy type Encore!"

Nooooooooooooo. No no no no no no no no... Not the Flabebe. Anybody but the Flabebe. It doesn't even make any sense. The Flabebe got eaten alive and was practically vaporized. Unless she ascended from the pits of hell to get her revenge, she should not be here. Sylvain would sooner drop dead than have his survival depend on someone who's repeatedly given negative fucks about his safety. He was about ready to succumb to his wounds, but then the Murkrow gave him an idea.

"Much as I hate the idea of having my mind toyed with....Hit me with it, give me a shot at getting back up. We need someone to go toe to toe with that thing, someone able to let loose, and need someone to give that Honedge a chance to get stronger."

"Uhhhhhhhhhh...." Sylvain did not like the idea of using Confuse Ray on the Murkrow. Sylvain has had Confuse Ray since he was hatched, and one thing he's learned in his time using it is that it REALLY messes with your mind. The confusion status may snap, but the feeling of someone having tampered with your mind stays with you for much longer. Then the paranoia sets in. Will someone Confuse you again? What are you going to do once someone confuses you? Are you going to destroy anything? Are you going to hurt anyone? Are you going to remember if you hurt anybody or not? Is anybody going to understand?

Now, Sylvain isn't afraid of using Confuse Ray on his opponents. After all, they chose to get in his way, and he's more than willing to inflict that kind of damage on anybody stupid enough to make that mistake. However, the main problem Sylvain has with this plan is that THIS COULD BACKFIRE TERRIBLY. The Murkrow seemed quite confident that he'll take advantage of the stupor to only attack the creature, but...no, he can't just only attack the Buzzwole. Confuse Ray distorts your mind, and there's an equally valid chance that the Murkrow would attack HIM. Or the others. And even if the Murkrow somehow makes it to the creature without attack Sylvain, so what? The creature is still insanely buff, is capable of healing himself, and has shrugged off every attack the team has dished out on him. The beast is just going to pound the Murkrow into a pile of mush and feathers.

...But, at this point, the team needs a miracle to survive, and it would be nice to get rid of the Murkrow so that nobody capable of killing Sylvain remains on the team. "I'm not sure it'll work as well as you think it will, but...this was your idea." Sylvain notes as he uses Confuse Ray on Jack.

Jack embraced the change in mindset. Instead of fighting the confusion and getting caught between his senses and the true reality, he embraced the raw emotion that was coursing through his body now. His suffering was forgotten, as there was no room to share with the new tenant:

Pure, near-incomprehensible rage.

The Murkrow became incensed at his "companion"'s last comment. The Frillish had suggested this was all HIS idea? The getting caught in an incomprehensible world, fighting monsters and nearly getting killed just to end up back at the start, wholly unscathed as if some perverted reset button had been hit? THAT was his idea? To get nearly caved in by some 'Mon-devouring freak?
Jack was about to turn around and rip off one of the Frillish's appendages and pound that spongy head of his into his body with it for such a stupid comment. Maybe THEN the lesson would be slammed into his head not to make such asinine comments. But the blue idiot was saved by an even more infuriating sight: the Buzzwole turning his back on him and heading towards the others.

Jack just about choked from the wrath he felt. This freak struck him, taunted him, and then decided to leave, all on top of emitting some infuriating little noise? A single blow and it thinks they're done, that they can just get a nice walk home? The Frillish was all but forgotten, as the Murkrow jumped to his feet and virtually rocketed into the air, incomprehensibly shrieking as he barreled towards the creature. Tactics lost in his fury, he didn't even prepare a Drill Peck; all he wanted was for the creature to turn around in time for his beak to pierce one of it's stupid, ugly little eyes. He wanted to see some terror reflected in it from whatever accounted for a mind in this monster before he slammed it into that awful little needle. Maybe after he Pecked one of its eyes out and fed it to it would he feel more satisfied.

Much as I hate the idea of having my mind toyed with....Hit me with it

What are those two doing?

I'm not sure it'll work as well as you think it will, but...this was your idea.

Fiona could see how the Murkrow was trying to convince the Frillish to mess with his mind, and how the Water type hesitantly agreed to put the Flying type into an altered state. The Flabébé could only witness how the Murkrow went berserk and attacked the Red Creature with all his might; he wanted to see blood.

She saw that state before; Loosing control can increase his strength, but it won´t stop him from injuring the others, or even himself.
And if he attacked the creature, he won´t stand a chance if he´s not thinking clearly.

The only thing she could do for now is continue to call the attention of the red Creature, and just hope than the Flying type keeps attacking it.

"BBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZ???"

The creature looked down at the flower it had sworn it already consumed... In confusion it heard their words echo in its mind.

"HEY....big.....red....thingy. How about...... you get a .......Fairy type Encore!"

The creature floated still for a moment... their gaze fixated on the tiny flower... their voice repeating itself... over... and over...

"...big.....red....thingy."

"Fairy type Encore!"

"How about..."

"HEY"

"How about..."

"Fairy type Encore!"

"...big.....red....thingy."

"HEY"

"HEY"

The beast felt its fist charging up on its own, without any control... It began to shriek in horror as its body began to betray its mind.

"BBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!"

In that moment, it felt as if another one of the prey had tried to infiltrate their mind in order to stop this electric attack... but in the creature's fear, it shut out all other thoughts, preventing his thundering claws from being disabled.

The beast, in its moment of terror, decided to put its hand to good use, and began to dash towards the flower that had scared it so... until they noticed the bird. Its eyes, filled with unruly ferocity, its flight pattern, chaotic and brisk. The Murkrow had undergone something very dangerous... something no Pokemon should ever even consider as an option. As it raced towards the bug, it prepared to strike one of its eyes out.

SQRIISHHHHHHLLLL!!!!!

"BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZBZBZBZBBZBBZBZBZBBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ?!?!?!?!!!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!"

In an instant, the Murkrow had ripped off the creature's left eye, and swallowed it. Green mucus splattered all across the blood red ground, contrasting the already alien appearance of this world. The insectoid screeched in absolute agony, as it landed on its knees and held its head. Shaking... it began to punch the ground below it, continuously. You could feel the platform begin to wither... it won't take long before its pain will break down the very earth itself...

The thrill of a good strike was something that even in normal times the Murkrow would relish. In his current bloodthirsty state, however, it was like divine manna. Ripping the eye from its socket as if it was an Oran from a tree branch, Jack continued his wild flight, the green blood in his mouth almost sickeningly sweet. He took a savage joy in the barbaric act, his addled mind treating it as if it was fair play to inflict that level of suffering for such a slight, as if it was the best thing to happen in this warped place. And, in this delirium, he did something he may have otherwise been disgusted by: he swallowed the bloody organ of the beast.

Vengeance and the vaguest sense of justice intertwined to form a satisfaction great enough to fill even the bloodlust that had made him think of enacting bodily harm on an ally for some innocuous disclaimer. The maddening rage, assuaged by the act of crippling the creature and the resulting screams, began to subside, replaced by weariness and the creeping agony that his movements had unknowingly incurred. Flight started to slow as his wings began to resist movement, the muscles stiffening to prevent further injury that was probably already the cost of his mad gambit. After a few more seconds of the pain building, they finally gave out, causing the bird to slip out of the sky and skid into the dirt on the far end of the platform. The resulting fall felt like a culmination of all the torment he'd delayed with the Confuse Ray, and left the inert Murkrow seeing white. He didn't even want to move enough to groan.

Did the Murkrow really just ripped the creature's eye off just to eat it?

Fiona wasn't expecting things would elevetate to such gruesome encounter, the Frillish's move really made a number on the Dark type's mind. But she guessed it didn't matter now, as he began to collapse and fall, the altered state must've ended.

This was bad; if he doesn't get up, the creature will crushed him for what he did.
No more hiding, the fairy type ran towards the Murkrow; she wasn't wasting any time to cover both of them in a protective aura.

But, she could only block the creature's attack for so long before the move wears off.

The rattle of the platform. The uncertainty of it's existence. It shakes and it quakes and it groans, and Osiris nerves ring like a bell as his anchor threatens to fade away once more. The beast radiated red hot pain in waves and tore into the island. It seemed madness was contagious. Jack corkscrewed, slipping against the earth on the other side of the platform from Delia and himself. Out of harm's way. Delia was wrong. The pulsating obelisk that was the monster towered between them.

Crack.

"Move, move, move!" He pushes Delia towards the sideways platform. They were no good if they feel like last time, he knew as much. He cast a look backwards as Delia twists her orientation to the new island. And there stands Fiona. Rubble blasts outwards from the beast's senseless beating of the earth, clattering ineffectually on the shield. His magic, again. Jack is prone behind her. Despite her best efforts, as soon as the island goes, so would they. There are only two choices, as far as Osiris is concerned.

He chooses to swap with Jack. "We need to go!" he shouts above the repetitious slam. slam. slam. He shoved Fiona the same way he shoved Delia. Shards of red, slivers of land, scattered in a random mess around the island.

CRACK.

"QUICKLY!"

BY THE MERCILESS MUSTACHE OF A STOUTLAND, DID THE MURKROW JUST EAT THE CREATURE'S EYE?!?!

Sylvain was never able to stomach violence aimed towards the eyes and almost threw up. He forced the bile backed down his throat and tried to get back up. He didn't get hit by that last attack, so he was feeling a little better...although he was still feeling pretty bad since he was hit by a super-effectve Electric and Dark attack done simultaneously. However, as soon as he got back on his feet, he felt the ground shake beneath his body. He turned around...and the Buzzwole was destroying the island the group was on.

Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. With nothing below him but a void of nothingness and beasts of shadow ready to feast on his carcass, the odds of his survival grew slimmer with each passing second. At best he could wound one of the underlings and leave their remains to get consumed while Sylvain ran away, but even that's not a guarantee and will require an immense amount of luck. Sylvain looked around the island to see if there was anything Sylvain could use to increase any odds of him being the adventures lone survivor. The first thing he saw?

The vines. "Well, here we go again." Sylvain knew this was where he would exert his remaining energy. He hovered as fast as he could towards the nearby vines and used what remains of his energy to climb up the vines and tighten his grip on the leaves.

Mew knows this is gonna suck.

"BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The bug-like monster raised its tree trunk wide arms up for one final blow on the floating island, and as its fists came down to plunder the ground of its gravity, a yellow hand caught it.

Light surrounded the claws of the beast, and soon the yellow hand emerged along with its owner.

"Farewell, poor creature."

The yellow one snapped its fingers and sent the beast flying far to the east, never to be seen again.

"BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ?!?!??!?!?!??!?!!!!!!!?!??!????!?!?!?"

As the insectoid flew away, this new being turned over to the wounded. His face morphed to pity.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't arrive any sooner... but you have to understand, entering the Distortion World uses up a lot of power."

He saw the broken down Murkrow and picked him up, reaching his hands out to the others, he simply stated,

"
My name is Uragiri, I'm an Alakazam. This is not the only strange occurrence happening in our world right now. Come with me and I'll take you somewhere safe."

He reached out to the rest of the group, and the bright light yet again returned. They vanished from the Murky Meadow, as if they had never been there to begin with.

In the distance, on a lone platform, a scythe stands... waiting for a master...

Chapter 2: The King-less Kingdom
Leaving the Murky Meadow had severe effects on those who stayed in it for a prolonged time. The entirety of the group had to stay inside of a dark clinic for seven whole days. Their caretakers were a rather old Furfrou named Suessanna, who mostly spends all day musing about the old days when the Kingdom was lit up every night by the lights of the king and queen, and Taylor, a fast-talking Chimchar that loves to tell corny jokes about various foods. Despite what would seem to be inadequacies for the two, they managed to perform greatly. Rumors spread around about how the two were helping heal the "Distortion Children" that Uragiri had brought from another world. Outside of that, contact with the world beyond the clinic was limited.

Finally, a week had passed, the restlessness of their stay was finally coming to an end. Until Uragiri arrived, with an unknown Cottonee by his side. Its colors were different from the norm, and it had an odd presence in the room around them. Who was this child? How did Uragiri save us? These were the questions that began the journey to find the answers of the mysterious Distortion World.

With the pokedex number of 493, this Pokemon is essentially Arceus and fully intends to let the power get to his head.
It wasn't bad enough that Sylvain was unceremoniously teleported into a giant void filled alongside morons and psychopaths. It wasn't bad enough that he had to fight titans of incomprehensible size and power. It wasn't bad enough that he was on death's doorstop at least twice. But now he's stuck with all of the morons and psychopaths, one of whom WAS EVAPORATED AND SHOULDN'T EVEN BE ALIVE, in a dark room for an entire week.

Sylvain wouldn't have a problem with this ordeal if it was brief. After all, he did enter a mysterious and uncharted realm that nobody possesses any knowledge of, so it would be plausible that they would have to be inspected to make sure that they didn't bring over any diseases or tiny monsters attached to their bodies. The problem is...the current living situation is an ABSOLUTE BLOODY NIGHTMARE.

There were 4 major factors in making Sylvain's stay at the clinic unbearable. The first factor was the underlings that were with him in the void. It was nice that he could at least stay away from the cretins when he wanted to, but he's known them for far too long and would rather leave them rolling about in their own feces and focus on his own goals. But no, he's still stuck with them. He might get something out of this later, but not in the last week, and certainly not now.

The second factor was the darkness. For reasons unbeknownst to Sylvain, the Furfrou kept the entire clinic in perpetual darkness, as if he didn't deal with enough darkness back in the void. It wasn't so bad in the morning when text was still visible, so he could spend his free time reading about laws to see if he has enough legal ground to justify suing the clinic on the grounds of gross mistreatment, but then the darkness would get darker and there would be nothing left to do beyond working on plans to either escape or sue the Furfrou.

The third factor was the Furfrou. On top of not letting any light around the premises, the Furfrou was also a withered old shell of a mon who wouldn't shut up about how good the past supposedly was with the king and queen. Oooooh, the king and queen were bleeding hearts and there was no crime and extravagant galas were constantly thrown and things were so much better back then, yeah Tauros-shit it was. The king and queen were corrupt egocentrics that only did niceties when they felt that their public image was in question, crime exists so long as there's at least 1 person willing to do whatever they have to do to get something, and galas are money pits that only exist to make rich people feel better about themselves. If all the Furfrou can do is blabber on and on about the past, then clearly this woman has reached a dead end in her life that she can't do diddly bupkis about.

But all of those factors pale in comparison to the Chimchar. By the smoldering excrement of a Magcargo, that fucking Chimchar. There are few things in life worse a person that won't stop talking about the past. One of those things is a comedian about as funny as a Thunder Punch from an Electivire that won't keep his fucking mouth shut. Every time the Chimchar brought Sylvain some food, he always attached some stupid joke that's probably older than the Chimchar is, and each time it got on Sylvain's nerves. By the end of the third day, Sylvain kept himself sane by imagining himself murdering the Chimchar with Water Pulse after Water Pulse.

By the time the Alakazam that he saw at the void came to the clinic with a Cottonee (at least he thinks it's a Cottonee, Cottonee's usually have more green on their bodies), Sylvain was all ready to hear good news and finally move on to greener pastures. "Can I go home now, please?"
