(first post to be revamped later)

This is Pokemon 152 Red, a Fire Red hack that features none of the original 151 Pokemon, or their evolutionary lines, until postgame! I missed the days of fun little hacks on a small scale, so I decided to make one myself. This hack is now complete and out of beta, but there may be future updates.

The original level curve has been retained, and all important bosses use Pokemon of the same levels as in vanilla. All Pokemon keep their usual base stats and typings, but as of 1.2 a number of Pokemon have updated movesets! With the sole exception of Mawile (who previously could not learn a single Steel type move that was available in Gen 3 besides Hidden Power), all new moves added will be something that the Pokemon receiving them can obtain in an official game, although not necessarily a Gen 3 one. So now Bug types actually get STAB, and Yanma serves a purpose that isn't easy EXP in Viridian Forest.

You can now catch all 386 Pokemon, including legendaries! Once you've beaten the E4, Professor Oak will give you the national dex and let you travel to the four remaining Sevii Islands, where all Kanto Pokemon are catchable. Unlike pre-E4 the wild Pokemon and trainers are significantly stronger than vanilla, so be careful!

The three Johto starters now learn better STAB slightly earlier, have been given one new coverage move, and learn their ultimate moves by level
Sentret learns better STAB earlier
Hoothoot learns Psychic moves earlier
Ledyba is now actually usable, maybe?
Spinarak learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Toepgi has received Extrasensory
Natu learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Marill gets Superpower
Hoppip gets better STAB slightly earlier
Aipom learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Sunkern learns existing moves a lot earlier
Yanma is also now usable??
Murkrow learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Pineco now gets Pin Missile
Dunsparce learns some new moves to take advantage of Serene Grace
Gligar learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Snubull now gets better STAB
Sneasel learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Slugma learns existing moves a lot earlier
Swinub learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Corsola learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Phanpy learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Stantler learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Poochyena learns its STAB moves earlier
Beautifly and Dustox learn new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Lotad learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Seedot's evolutions (but not Seedot) learn new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Surskit learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Shroomish now learns Spore earlier, to make delaying its evolution to learn it less of a pain in the butt
Nincada learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Mawile now gets STAB moves
Electrike can now learn certain fire moves via TM
Plusle and Minun learn Spark slightly earlier
Volbeat and Illumise learn new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Trapinch learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Cacnea learns Needle Arm considerably earlier
Crawdaunt learns Crunch considerably earlier
Lileep learns new moves and gets existing ones earlier
Anorith learns existing moves earlier
Chimecho now learns Extrasensory
Relicanth learns existing moves earlier
Luvdisc... well I tried???

The move tutor on two island will only teach the ultimate moves to the original kanto starters
Although the regional Pokedex can be obtained and all Pokemon can evolve, it is functionally useless as there are no Pokemon currently obtainable that can be registered. This stops being an issue after obtaining the national dex in the postgame

Remove all references to old Pokemon pre-national dex from the game

This is where I post the teams of anybody who beats the E4 and enters the hall of fame! Send me a message if you'd like to be added : )

surfe updated Pokemon 152 Red with a new update entry:

v1.25 - Minor Bug Fixes, Trade Edits

Update time! I don't know how version update numbers work but this seems to make sense.

This very minor patch fixes the following:

Clamperl will now evolve at level 22 instead of 0
Pokemon without arms will no longer punch you thunderously
Ingame trades have been tweaked! The following trades have been changed:
- In Cerulean City you can trade Wooper for Kecloen
- In Cinnabar lab you can trade Shuckle for Glalie, Ariados for Tropius, and Mantine for Ampharos

In addition to this, I'll...
