Just a guy with way to many ongoing Nuzlockes.
Basically what the title says. There are some rules, though:

- Your ideas don’t need to have grounded logic. You can say something like ‘Stall now lowers the opponent’s attack every turn’ or something and it’s fine.

- No making overpowered abilities. The point of this is to make weaker abilities more usable, not create broken stuff.

- No need to look up to see if there is another ability that does the same thing as your idea. If you think it’s good, just go with it. And besides redundant abilities are a common thing anyway.

- Follow the basic forum rules, no insulting other people’s ideas if you don’t like them.

- That’s all! Just have fun posting ways you can better otherwise inferior abilities.

For me:

Illuminate: All light based attacks (eg. Dazzling gleam) and Electric attacks have a boosted crit ratio (let’s not make it anything too useful, increasing encounter rate is already a good thing. Just use repels if you don’t want more encounters)

Run away: The user’s quick reflexes makes it easier to land hits. It is now a No guard clone, but can only work in trainer battles and the ability wears off it the user’s accuracy drops or the opponents evasiveness increases by at least 1 point.

Slow Start: The user's Attack is lowered by one stage for two turns, but then increases by two stages after those turns are over. This does not reset upon switch-in.
Truant: The subject loafs around during the turn after they use a damaging move. If they do not use a damaging move, they do not loaf around on the following turn.

This Pokémon is the Unovan regional form of the Pokémon White Chaos, shrugging the Dark/Psychic typing in favor of a Grass/Poison persona.
There are a lot of abilities that can be useful but are often overshadowed, so I wanted to buff them a bit.

Anger Point: In addition to its original effect, if it is inflicted with Taunt, Torment, or has its attack redirected by Rage Powder, the user gains +1 Atk.

Big Pecks and Hyper Cutter: In addition to its original effect, the user now takes 30% less damage from moves that lower Defense and Attack, respectively, such as Crunch and Liquidation.

Keen Eye: In addition to its original effect, the user is unaffected by the effects of Follow Me (but not Rage Powder).

Cute Charm: Completely replacing its original effect, the user now prevents "scary" moves and abilities from activating, even if it wouldn't target it, such as Intimidate, Snarl, Scary Face, and Taunt.

Damp: Prevents Mega Stones and Z-Crystals from activating.

Early Bird: In addition to its original effect, the user's accuracy is boosted by 10% in the Sun.

Honey Gather: When the Pokemon is holding Honey, it restores a small bit of health after every turn, similarly to Leftovers.

Takes plenty of siestas, somewhat of a clown, impetuous and silly
Similar to how Intimidate is blocked by Inner Focus, Oblivious, Scrappy, or Own Tempo (and also raises speed with Rattled):
Steadfast: increases the user's Speed stat by one stage when flinched and blocks intimidate.

A Pokémon shrouded in hearsay and urban legend, spoken of only in whispered tales and hushed gossip.
Illuminate: Auto-Foresight upon switch-in.

Wonder Skin: Put it on something that doesn't have a clearly better ability (like Sigilyph's Magic Guard) and isn't Delcatty. The ability itself is fine, it's just constantly overshadowed or on bad mons.

Oblivious: Make it a reverse Mold Breaker. It ignores the opponent's abilities if it'd enhance the opponent's move. For example, it'd work on Tough Claws and Poison Touch, but not Fur Coat or Aftermath.

Stall/Analytic: Merge the effects of these and make them clones into each other. So, basically, the user always moves last, but gets boosted power to their moves.

Ball Fetch: The user can catch Ball/Bomb moves, same ones blocked by Bulletproof. (Perhaps only if they miss/blocked by Protect/fail/etc? Or are aimed at the user?) If it catches one, it can use it on its next turn if it attacks. Otherwise the move is lost.

This Pokémon has too many ideas for their own good.
Flower Gift: Same effects as before, but also brings the sun and protects allies from status. Because Cherrim deserves more love

Justified: Also increases attack when hit by Intimidate

Rivalry: Increases Defense when battling an opposite gendered Pokemon, as opposed to lowering its Attack stat.

Normalize: Passes the ability to foes like Mummy.

Unnerve: Also reduces the damage it takes from Biting moves.

Liquid Ooze: Negates any damage it would take from Draining moves and applies the appropriate damage to the foe (same as the old ability).

Light Metal: The Pokemon gains a 10% Speed increase but a 10% Defense decrease. When Gravity is active, these values are doubled.

Heavy Metal: The Pokemon gains a 10% Defense increase but a 10% Speed decrease. When Gravity is active, these values are doubled.

I think that Healer should keep the same effect but also sometimes heals the user of statuses as well.

Illuminate could be interesting if it acted like bright powder and slightly reduced the accuracy of opposing moves, or perhaps increase the accuracy of the user's moves.

Grass Pelt I think would be better if it boosts defense and special defense, and prevented the user from being statused.

Not huge but I think pokemon with Quick Feet should be able to ignore full paralysis. They already ignore the speed drop anyway.

Aftermath now triggers if the pokemon is knocked out by any attacking move rather than just contact moves.

Power of Alchemy/Receiver now copies the ability of a pokemon that has just fainted before you send it out, instead of a fainted ally.

Great idea for a thread. Also, I have no experience with competitive so what's considered a good or bad ability in my opinion is mainly based on my regular gameplay experience.

Early Bird: The Pokémon awakens quickly from sleep. Also: +1 Speed when wakes up.

Frisk
: The Pokémon can check a foe's held item. Also: If it is a consumable item it must immediately consume it. (Hopefully not too strong).

Plus/Minus: Ups Sp. Atk if another Pokémon has Plus or Minus. Also: In single battles instead acts as Lightning Rod.

Run Away:
Enables a sure getaway from wild Pokémon. Also: Critical hits are less likely to hit this pokemon.
