I am very happy with the additions of DLC to flesh out the core game some more! At least 200 returning Pokémon, new Pokémon, new regional variants, new Legendaries(those new Regis look great), regional variant LEGENDARIES, and more places to explore! I'm very excited to try out the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC! It's certainly a more interesting idea than another Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon fiasco!

A Pokémon shrouded in hearsay and urban legend, spoken of only in whispered tales and hushed gossip.
I'm curious but tentative. Pokemon hasn't done DLC before, so it could go either well or poorly. Although making the mons available for non-buyers via trade is definitely the best compromise they could do short of putting in the work to add them to the existing encounter tables.

Definitely interested in Rescue Team as well. I'm curious how much the mechanics might change, such as if multi-hit moves will still be horrifically broken or not like they were in the originals. Hoping for mechanics closer to the originals or Explorers. I enjoyed Super, but wasn't a fan of some of the changes.

New Mythical Pokémon, Zarude, has been officially revealed! That Dark/Grass typing and killer design has got me excited to use this brutal baboon!

I can't wait to get my hands on it. I just love every little detail about it.

Autistic writer who starts more things than she finishes. Hyper asexual Twitch Plays Pokemon lorewriter. Rather be a happy shill than an angry critic.
I'll be honest: Zarude looks pretty cool, but the double bug weakness, pathetic ability, and it being a Grass-type simian in the same gen as Rillaboom are not making me hyper enthused about its existence. I feel like we should have gotten something a bit more original.

Adept at procrastination. If he ever seems productive, it's likely because he's ignoring something far more important.
I kinda hate it. But it's a mythical, so it was always going to be entirely irrelevant to basically everything but a single movie, anyway, so it doesn't matter that much that I hate it.

I do wish more of the Swish DLC designs were actually appealing to me, though... Because I adore base Gen 8 more than many other generations... But I kinda don't care for any of the DLC designs, yet.

I mean, at least it isn't the other way around. That would probably be a lot worse.

A strange Pokémon that claims to be both an artist and writer, yet almost never has any work to show for either.
Someone I follow on tumblr posted "how long until someone draws Zarude with its vines replaced with hundreds of kandi bracelets" and that's honestly the most memorable thing I've encountered about any of the post-Unova Mythical Pokémon lmao. Maybe it's my preference for the older games, but I genuinely forget most of them exist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean, on the one hand the new mythical design is a LOT better than the uncanny proportions horror that is Calyrex, but what's more important...

Dark/Grass, eh? Bug Types, rise up~

This user's interests change more often than her pantalones. It is unlikely that she'll ever finish making a nuzlocke comic, but she can die trying!
I, for one, welcome this new monki Pokemon.

Sure, but on the other hand, I always knew that Sword and Shield would have enough value in them for me, because finding a new batch of Pokemon and exploring an entirely new region and new mechanics is always fun for me! The DLC, on the other hand, I don't know about. I'm already not happy with the pricing... And since Pokemon design is a major part of my enjoyment of the series, not particularly liking any of them so far makes me worry even more about the value of the DLC for me. I fear that this could end up being another case of having bigger issues with the "second game" in the generation than the first, which is what's happened for me for the past two generations, and it's a trend I would really like to see end.

If I can't get this out of my head, neither should the rest of you! On another note, it makes sense that Grookey is my favorite starter considering my favorite Powerpuff Girl was Buttercup when I was a kid. Not my creation, but still pretty cool.
