They question if it even exists anymore and it seems annoying enough for them to not want to find out.
Kazuko looked down at the note she was clutching. This must be the place, right? She wasn’t feeling sure about this whole process but Hibuko had been insistent. It would be nice to meet some other magical girls but her powers were kind of weird, what if no-one wanted to talk with her even here? She could feel the beetle on her shoulder, his face never really changed but she knew he was getting grumpy about her inertia. She was never going to hear the end of it if she backs out now.

Walking along slowly, she could feel herself passing through a strange barrier, taking a deep breath in she pushed on. Continuing in a few steps she took in the enormity of the complex she was in before looking down and seeing a small doll there, making her jump back in shock.

Isadora lazily drummed her fingers on the desk in front of her as her professor wrapped up his lecture for the day. At least this was her last class, that message to go to some address out there had been bouncing around the back of her mind ever since she'd gotten it. As soon as the professor dismissed class, she was out of there like a lightning bolt. She first made her way back to her dorm to leave her backpack there. Isadora had learned the hard way that if her hands touched it at all when she transformed, it would stay and become a huge hinderance, so she had taken to leaving it home any time she went out on magic business.

Arriving at the address specified, Isadora felt a wave of discomfort as she passed through what she figured was some manner of magical barrier-from prior experience, Isadora knew Dolcorde liked to keep on the down-low, so of course they wouldn't take on a fixed address without some kind of protection. Still, she couldn't help but feel as if she'd just stared down the maw of a monstrous rabbit hole.

Seeing the girl with the beetle on her shoulder jump in surprise at the appearance of a small doll lightened Isadora's anxieties a bit, however-she wasn't alone in being ill at ease.

Malcolm was once again teleporting from rooftop to rooftop, something he’s been doing a lot recently. Fortunately, he wasn’t being followed by those goons again. In fact, the last time he saw them, he was back on the other side of the world. Maybe that vacation to Japan wasn’t that bad after all...

Anyways, that doesn’t matter right now. What does matter is where he’s going. Checking his phone every once in a while just to make sure he’s going the right way, he eventually makes his way in front of the complex. If he’s honest, he somewhat wishes he had to solve a riddle, or take a secret passage by tapping a few bricks or something. But this definitely matches the address, maybe that barrier allows it to hide in plain sight? It definitely feels magical...

Malcolm carefully passes through it, not wanting to accidentally set off some other defense. Once on the other side, he allows himself to take in everything in sight. It’s somewhat overwhelming, and for a second he feels like turning around and leaving. However, he made it this far, might as well see more of what they have on display.

He doesn’t seem to be late or something, considering there’s already two girls here, one of which has a beetle on her shoulder. Seeing said girl jumped back at shock upon noticing the small doll forces him to hold back a slight giggle. It’s not to be mean, but it reminds him of the time he ended up in one of Dolcorde’s stores and how much they startled him.

Sometimes, life just wants you to suceed, and it looks like life wants Midna to go to that doll store. At least she thought that because last person she hitched a ride inside of their shadow was a girl with a bug on her shoulder. And with the magical presense around her, Midna guessed that she is one of those magical girls who was going to the doll shop, Dolcorde, which literally announced their arrival with any location that someone with magical presense can find.

After a little while, she found out that her guess was correct and she, with the owner of the shadow she hid inside, was reached to the shop. She felt the same discomfort of passing the barrier of magical origirn with bug girl, when she entered the barrier, and she giggled to the bug girls reaction to those living dolls and she didnt even tried to hold her laugh. It doesnt matter how loud you were laughing when you were alone inside of a Shadow Palace of that said girl. Midna decided to wait until night or bug girl gets inside of the shop to get out of this shadow, because the sun is still shining above and it will burn her to nothing with its evil beams of ligth.

Ah, The Earth Defense Section. What an absolutely wonderful place to be. Nyra stretches as she looks forward at the complex, taking a moment to prepare herself mentally as she takes in the locale. Sure, she had been to the shops, but this? It felt like it was on a whole new level of interesting. Her mind could only wonder what the various buildings were for, and the thoughts of what they could hold inside excited her. Moreover, a chance to associate and bond with other magical girls? What more could someone ask for?

It hadn't been easy getting to this place, and if it had come up earlier, Nyra probably would've completely ignored this chance. But now? As her abilities were on the rise, she figured that a place like this could only help her. Bleeding with information and teeming with magical girls, it was the kind of thing Nyra couldn't stand to miss. And it seemed like it'd be much more fun than just wandering around and just hoping something would happen. That was always a bore.

Nyra strides up to the entrance, noting the feel of the barrier. Like moving through a layer of jelly, it did little more than give her a soft tickle as she passed through which, while slightly discomforting when not expecting it, wasn't the worst feeling in the world. Nyra actually ends up staying at the barrier for a while longer, bouncing in and out of the area it enclosed, or standing still right in the middle. She lets out a giggle at the sensation it gives, getting completely distracted from her actual purpose of entering the place.

This pokemon appears shy and quiet, but bring up a subject that interests them and they can speak for hours nonstop.
When she’d signed up for this, Luna been expecting then to inform her via text or email or something, but nope, they only trusted the whereabouts of the secret base to Kuru, which was why she now found herself walking down unfamiliar streets with a carbuncle chittering directions like a satnav in her ear from her considerably heavy backpack.

“Left at this next corner, then straight ahead for two blocks.”

Despite living a short bus ride away, this was Luna’s first time in Hikohime City. As she walked she tried not to get distracted by the sights and smells or this place, (though she had stopped in at one shop to pick up a carton of chocolate milk along the way,) and kept a safe distance from the other citizens that thronged the streets. She would have a hard time explaining why her backpack was talking to her without blowing her identity as a Magical Girl, which Kuru said would be very bad, but wouldn’t say why. So she kept a wide girth around the milling masses, such as this group of people waiting for the bus. A few moments later she stopped, doing a double take.
“Hey wait a minute, there’s a bus stop right here.” Luna gave her backpack a sideways glare. “I’ve been walking for half an hour, and we could have just got off at the next stop instead!” Kuru’s reply came as a muffled snickering.

A few minutes later Kuru informed her that they had arrived at their destination. Luna let out a soft exclamation of wonder as the complex came into sight. She had been to Dolcord a few times in the past, and had been expecting another shop, maybe a bit bigger that normal. But this looked like the kind of manor that a couple of kids would get whisked away to stay with their elderly grandparent with a magical secret at. Which when she thought about it it kinda was in a sense.

Stepping over the threshold, Luna felt the telltale twinge of magic. Instinctively she readied for battle, quickly transforming into her Aegis attire, only to quickly realise that it was most likely just a barrier to keep normal folks out.
“Overreaction much?” Came Kuru’s chittering voice from her shoulder where the familiar rested, no longer having a bag in which to hide.
“No, I-Shut up!” Luna blushed furiously hoping that no-one had seen her as she detransformed, before looking around to see where she was supposed to go next.

"No, don't go, you're not ready yet—"

Ellen gave her familiar an admonishing swat on the head. "They invited me. That means I'm ready."

"They think you're ready. I think—"

"I don't care what you think. Or what they think, for that matter. But I want to learn more about what I've gotten myself into, so I'm going."

That was the end of the conversation, at least as far as Ellen was concerned. She paid no attention to any further protests from her familiar as she walked into the Dolcorde shop and spoke to the Taipei doll - she'd seen the dolls before once or twice, but they were still weird - and soon she was herded into a larger waiting area, where several others were waiting too.

...She doesn't try to attract attention, but she's likely to get some anyway. Her appearance is rather eye-catching, after all.

About three blocks away, give or take two neighbourhoods.

"Maybe you should have just transformed."

"And show up like a Masked Rider? No thanks," she quipped back.

Finally, she had arrived. Ushered in by one of the dolls, she was brought to a location that seemed like a holding area, with various others milling around.

"Okay, now what fresh hell is this - do I actually have to interact? Screw this," she thought, as she booted up a game on her phone.

He fought 32 men in an Irish bar once; he is also an incredible liar.
It was probably a good idea for Kotaba to squeeze the directions out of Sonnet. The weasel was quite hesitant initially, since if the address was discovered it could lead to a breach, but after an hour of trying to argue with Kotaba he was eventually goaded into writing them down on a slip of paper. Because honestly it would be worse to be discovered having a talking blue weasel.

After walking for about an hour or two, the duo reach their destination. It was...certainly not something either expect considering how covert Dolcorde is.

"This is the place?"

The familar pops his head out of the book bag he was residing in, peering out to investigate the area in question.

"Looks like the right address, so I guess it is. This is totally not the image I had in mimd for 'secret Earth Defense Section'. Was thinking more 'abandoned warehouse' or 'underground bunker' y'know?"

"Let's just go in," Kotaba dryly replies, before subsequently moving towards the manor. In her in difference she hardly cares for the mojo of the magic barrier, although Sonnet does give an uncomfortable shudder when passing through.

Its clear at this point that Kotaba is one the latter ones to arrive, considering how a number of girls stood idly as she walked to the front. Kotaba couldn't but blurt out a prompt in their direction.

"You all invited too?"

So this is Dolcorde. Alicia stares at the complex, not at all interested by the shop. Yeah it was cool that it provided to magical girls, and the barrier was pretty top notch. And this "Earth Defense" stuff was okay too she supposed, stupid as the name was. However, this was just another job, albeit longer than the usual ones. Was it rude of her to have her scythe out? Maybe...

She walks through the barrier and gives a nod to the Taipei doll sent to escort her. Her brother told her there was little to fear from them. Not that there was any reason to worry in the first place. As she had come to learn while living here, Japan was pretty weird. She kind of liked their clothes though. Maybe she could make Arro wear something similar. Whenever he got back from scouting that is.

As she was led by the doll, Alicia remembered that there were probably other magical girls here. Great. Just great. She hoped that she didn't have to get all friendly with the others. Nothing against them but it would just be bothersome in the end. Like, they would probably talk about the powers of friendship, or act all girly, or some other magical girl bullshit, and Alicia was not about that life. I can't wait to get home already...

Adding some character profiles for the 5 branch leaders of Dolcorde. I will also link this into the main post.

Name: Kuehl
Alias: (none)
Age: 72, based on Earth years.
Gender: Male

Appearance: Appears somewhat like a green humanoid iguana, with a lizard head, eyes, body, etc. Stands at about 6 feet 2 inches tall, but tends to hunch over a lot. Tends to wear a simple robe or coat, a shirt, and shorts with an opening for his tail. His tail length is about equal to his standing height, and is striped green and black.

Background/Personality: An alien from the planet Vulsqua, which he claims to be in another world. He apparently was friends with the 3rd and 4th owners of Dolcorde, although he was never interested in learning the intricacies of the dolls (although he still knows quite a bit from experience). Skilled in sneaking around and gathering information, he leads the Information Branch in the Earth Defense Section. Somewhat lazy and laid-back, but he’ll still pull his weight when it comes down to it.

Equipment: A beam saber, a code saber (a special type of beam saber that cannot slice through physical objects, but rather, injects a disruption code that can heavily damage anything that utilizes coding. Effective against AI, robots, etc.), and a simple plasma rifle. Although this is his standard equipment, if given a special mission, he’ll bring what he thinks is necessary for the mission.

Ability: Esper - An experienced psychic, Kuehl can use telekinesis and telepathy, as well as heal himself faster using his mind to consciously control certain processes in his body. His signature move, Epyon Impact, overloads the target’s mind with several images of what may or may not be Kuehl’s next method of attack. Doesn’t work on beings without a conscious, and even then, it doesn’t do lasting damage, but it is still useful as a glorified flashbang, as it is near-impossible to dodge as a telepathic psychic attack. Kuehl ultimately doesn’t have a lot of fancy techniques to use, so he tends to rely on having a few moves whose potency he can guarantee, such as this one.

Transformation (Wyvern) - His species apparently descended from wyverns, and by using a magic technique, Kuehl can take on the form of his ancestors. Transforms into a large wyvern of about 20 meters in length (from head to tail), with wings that can act as forearms. With strong arms, tougher-than-steel scales, and a spiked tail, it’s strong in combat, but has worse aerial mobility and speed compared to wyverns with proper wings. Kuehl retains his esper skills as a wyvern, but most damage taken in wyvern form will carry over when he transforms back.

Other: Hates the cold. Really hates it. It’s probably because he’s cold-blooded and was born in a tropical environment.

Name: London
Alias: Acting Director of Dolcorde
Age: In the 50s. Appears to be of college student age.
Gender: Female

Appearance: Has long chalk-white hair and dark red eyes. Wears glasses, although the purpose is unknown, since Dolcorde Dolls shouldn’t need glasses. Wears dark blue jeans, a button-down shirt and tie, and sneakers. Stands at about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Background/Personality: A London doll owned by the 3rd owner of Dolcorde. She currently is the Acting Director of it in the absence of the owners. Opening the Earth Defense Section was her idea, although she’s secretly worrying that things might go awry. Despite Kuehl and Milan having more experience than her, both of them thought that she would be better off being the main leader. Tries to act straight-laced, but a lot of the time she can’t keep up the act and is forced to relax herself. Still, she’s on the more serious side nonetheless.

Equipment: A special greatsword that has a special compartment with which magic or magic-infused items can be inserted in order to empower the sword. Also wears a suit of armor into combat.

Ability:
Mechanic - Skilled at messing around with machines, tools, etc. The innate skill of London dolls, Director London can take apart machinery and other related things with speed and ease in order to examine them, and can fix them up just as efficiently too. As a side note, she has a good eye for details big and small and can analyze targets and opponents on the fly, a trait that's unique to her.

Elemental Magic - Can utilize magic of many elemental forms. Although she doesn’t have a specialty, London can utilize most of the elements in combat. This is usually shown when she infuses her sword with magic.

Other: Her theme song.

Name: Milan-Shona (can be called Milan for short)
Alias: (none)
Age: Over 200 in Earth years. Is an android that appears to be of high school age.
Gender: Female

Appearance: Has short, straight, plain white hair and yellow eyes. Has two yellow sensors/antenna protruding upwards of where a human’s ear would be, somewhat reminiscent of a rabbit. Her body has painting/design that makes it look like she’s wearing a leotard and tie. However, she tends to wear proper clothing when in the casual moment. Stands at about 5 feet 2 inches tall.

Background/Personality: An old Dolcorde Android who was originally owned by Kuehl’s grandfather. She currently serves Kuehl, but is also working at Dolcorde’s Earth Defense Section as the leader of the Combat Branch. Despite this, she doesn’t have much initiative, instead having London give her orders most of the time. She’s somewhat straightforward, but keeps many secrets, mostly due to her age and experience, being the oldest member here. Pretty mysterious, as her appearance doesn’t match up with the Dolcorde dolls despite her identifying with them.

Equipment: A rocket skirt that allows her to fly with a greater degree of speed and control. Also carries weapons, and is good with ranged weapons, but this is not standard. A lot of the time, when she wants or needs a weapon, she’ll grab one from Kuehl. As an android, her body is strong and durable, so she can more or less get away with physical combat on her own. As a side note, she has thrusters at her feet that she can use to fly on her own, although the rocket skirt is preferred for more control and being able to save her own energy. She also has a retractable tail that can extend for 20 feet, and also has a stinger blade at the end for combat. It’s pretty sturdy and can hold up quite a bit of weight when needed.

Ability:
Sharpshooter - All Milan dolls have an affinity for ranged weaponry, and all have good eyesight. Milan-Shona is no exception, being able to see a distance even in conditions of poor visibility.

Shona Full-Body Laser System - A modification made to this Milan android, it allows her to shoot laser beams from any point on her body. The current method of how she can do this is currently a secret. She can fire continuous beams, multiple beams, etc. Because of how the beams can fire from anywhere from her body, she tends to not wear any clothing for combat beyond her rocket skirt (as clothing will just get shredded by the lasers). Going ham on this ability takes a lot of her energy, so Milan will tend to conserve this when possible.

Other: When he was a child, Kuehl used to use her as a warm hugging pillow when he was cold. Milan promised to herself that if Kuehl was to ever piss her off, she’ll reveal this secret. It hasn’t happened yet, although Milan is starting to believe that revealing this secret won’t do anything of note.

Name: Taipei
Alias: Head Shopkeeper
Age: Unknown, but appears middle school age. Younger than London, but older than Venice.
Gender: Female

Appearance: Has blond hair tied back with a gray bandana and grey eyes. Wears a sailor-style schoolgirl uniform, having a white shirt with navy collar and red tie, a navy skirt that goes down to her knees, black kneesocks, and shoes.

Background/Personality: The friendly shopkeeper that appears most often in Dolcorde Stores around the world, this Taipei doll helps out magical girls by selling them equipment, buying materials dropped from demons from them, or even a combination of the two via trading. She has recently been placed in charge of the Shopkeeping Branch in Dolcorde’s Earth Defense Section. Cheerful and nice, she’s happy to take on the job.

Equipment: A shortsword and circular viking shield. Wears some armor into battle when needed. Has recently started carrying throwing knives as a ranged option.

Ability: None. Taipei dolls are the everyman of Dolcorde Dolls. They have no innate talent for anything, but have the highest learning capability due to not being specialized in any specific task. Aside from having a bit of magic power and combat training, there is nothing unique about Shopkeeper Taipei.

Other: Acts like the big sis to the other dolls. Aside from Director London and Milan-Shona, this is more or less true.

Name: Venice
Alias: Head Nurse
Age: Unknown, but appears elementary school age. Very young.
Gender: Female

Appearance: Has short orange hair with an ahoge and light olive-green eyes. Stands at about 4 feet tall. Wears a black shirt with a white coat over it, an orange skirt, striped knee socks, and shoes.

Background/Personality: Head of the Medical Branch in Dolcorde’s Earth Defense Section, she’s here to heal people who get injured. The most inexperienced of the five branch leaders, she’s not entirely sure what she’s doing, but Shopkeeper Taipei told her “just heal injured people and everything will be fine”, so that’s what she’s gonna do.

Equipment: Several phials of various liquids, both medicinal and poisonous, and supplies for field treatment (suturing kit, bandages, rubbing alcohol, etc.). For offense, she carries a 2-pound mallet that she can wield with one hand and some exorcism slips (papers with incantations written on them to banish evil spirits).

Ability:
Healing - The innate talent of Venice dolls is healing magic. Head Nurse Venice is the most skilled of the Venice dolls in the Earth Defense Section. Although her magic power leaves something to be desired, she’s pretty good at her job even without using magic.

Exorcism - Although not the innate skill of Venice dolls, Head Nurse Venice has the ability to purge curses, spirits, and ghosts. However, her offensive capabilities with this are low, and so this skill is mostly used to remove curses from people and objects.

Other: Although her age is unknown, she is clearly the youngest of the five branch leaders. Apparently a Venice doll worked directly under Kinu Shirogane, although this Venice is not that doll.

With the pokedex number of 493, this Pokemon is essentially Arceus and fully intends to let the power get to his head.
As Corrine drove out of Reno with a black eye and a bruised lip, all that could come out of her mouth was "FUCK".

That last mission could not have gone any worse. All it took was one slip-up. One...FUCKING slip up. She failed to provide an adequate lie, the townsfolk did more digging into her past, they began asking questions...and then fists began flying. She didn't even do any gambling. There's no way that Suzanne Walters can show her face in Nevada anymore. Fuck.

In times of agonizing failure, the one thing that always made Corrine feel better was driving. She drove and drove until the car almost ran out of gas, in which case she would fill the tank back up with gas and continue driving. She'd drive and drive until she could find another town to live in and start the whole cycle over. Hopefully one with a quiet job, manageable traffic, and neighbors that don't bombard her with question after question about where she came from and what she wants to do in the future.

Corrine drove until she reached Portland, Oregon. Portland is one of her favorite places to be. She's always had a preference for giant cities, but Portland felt special. It was big enough to have giant buildings and coffee shops everywhere, but small enough to have a sense of pride in its reputation as a bizarre city.

It's also the area where Corrine feels the most like a magical girl. It may just be the endorphins that release as she senses a nearby Mini-Dolcorde, but she always feels a sense of pride in her extraordinary powers whenever she's in a town so bizarre as Portland. Corrine drives over to this Mini-Dolcorde to pick up food and enough supplies to forge some IDs and birth certificates. It takes a while since the layout of the store is different enough from other stores to mildly inconvenience her, but she does eventually get what she needs.

Corrine only hopes that this Leader Doll isn't like any of the talkative Dolls that want to know every last detail about what you've been up to for the last decade. After the massive brawl that she's still feeling the pain from, the last thing that she wants to do is dwell on the past. It doesn't help that Dolcorde Dolls have always creeped her out and constantly look like they're going to stab you in your sleep. To her relief, the Leader Doll makes no attempt at conversation and merely checks out her groceries. However, the one sentence that it does say catches her off-guard.

"Do you want to submit an application for the Earth Defense Section?"

"...The what?"

"The Earth Defense Section! They're hiring magical girls to fight against Lunar Demons! Do you want an application?"

Corrine has never heard of a "lunar demon" before, but the prospect of using her powers to beat something up is intriguing. Assuming she could even land a dent on something ferocious enough to have "demon" be a part of its name. "How much does it pay?"

"...You'd have to ask the superiors about that, but I would imagine that the pay is generous."

That lessened Corrine's interest in signing up. If she's going to be risking her life to fight something called a "Demon", the pay had better be worth dying for. "Sorry. Not interested."

"Understandable. Have a nice day."

After Corrine pays for her supplies, she puts them in her trunk and...sits in her car. Maybe she should join this Defense Section. She can spend a couple months doing it, make some allies, make (potential) bank, and move on to a different life should the need arises. She might end up getting killed by the "Lunar Demons", but...like anybody's gonna miss her. Especially now that she's between aliases.

After a brief moment of consideration, Corrine returns to the Mini-Delcorde and approaches the Leader Doll.

"Changed my mind. Can I see an application?"

In 1989 Dawkins commented, 'The word meme seems to be turning out to be a good meme' (Dawkins 1989).
As the Dolcorde complex came into view, Sayo's pace slowed unintentionally. She wasn't really thinking about her walking speed. Instead, she was thinking something along the lines of: 'Why did I even agree to this? Maybe I should just go home...'

Sensing her unease, the familiar next to her urged her onward. "What's there to worry about? You've been to Dolcorde before, this is basically the same thing."

"I-I'm going, I'm going," she increased her pace slightly. "It's just that, shouldn't defending earth be left to someone more capable than me?"

Nudge sighed. "This again? Tell you what. Let's go in and see what it's all about first, and then you can change your mind if you want. Sound good?"

"...I guess that's fine," Sayo responded. She relaxed a little, letting her shoulders back down, as she stepped through the barrier. Upon entering, a Taipei doll got her attention and led her to a building. As she went in, she subconsciously raised her shoulders back up. She stepped over to where other people were waiting and took a seat, avoiding making eye contact with those around her.

'Ever the anxious one, she is...' Nudge thought to himself as he climbed onto her lap. 'Well, hopefully this will do her some good.'

After playing with the barrier for a questionably long time, Nya recomposes herself, taking deep breaths to calm her fit of giggling. She can’t just mess around all day, there are things to do! People to meet! Magic to experience! With newfound determination, she starts on her way to the gate.

After a bit of walking, she makes it to the entrance, giving the doll there a playful courtesy before being lead inside. She stands there for just a moment, taking in all the magical girls in front of her. The potential in the room made her giddy, looking from one to another wondering what kind of powers and secrets each could hold.

Right, no time like the present. She picks one of the girls, one near the front that looked like she was looking around the room waiting for something, and strides up to Kotaba.

“You’re part of the new Earth Defense Force, right? Me too! Well, I guess everyone here is, this is where the invite said to go!”

She speaks with a sort of floatiness about her, and her quick movements as she spoke made her excitement clear. Without even knowing, she even partially answers the girl’s original question she hadn’t arrived yet to hear.

10 people. there are 10 people outside of this shadow of bug girl, and its perfect time to make herself known to this group, and the DOLCORDE. Midna altered the shadowsilk to fullbody version which only leaves her eyes and hair open, and left the shadow palace and shadow of bug girl with a shift moument, probably surprising the bug girl and others in the process, and made herself known to the group, with a shout of ''HELLO HUMANS''. Its time to wait the reactions of others and act on the run.

Malcolm faces Kotaba, with a causal smile on his face. It’s been a while since he could truly talk to someone, so might as well at least get to know somebody in this weird complex/defense section/whatever.

”Oh I definitely was, I’m assuming you were also invited here. Probably can say the same for everybody, if this is the whole Earth Defense Section place I was told about.”

After speaking, he turns around to face the person(?) who just shouted. He didn’t notice the movement due to how he was facing, but the shouting does hurt his sensitive ears. Malcolm turns around again to face them. They definitely don’t look completely human persay, but it’ll be rude to draw attention to that fact, so a simple greetings should do.
“Uh, hello there. Sorry for not noticing you, but maybe can you turn down the shouting?”

With the pokedex number of 493, this Pokemon is essentially Arceus and fully intends to let the power get to his head.
Corrine hated leaving North America. Not because the other countries were far less desirable places for her to live in, but because she hates flying. She's had trust issues for most of her life, and putting her life in the hands of someone that she's never met (trained or otherwise) is always something that she tries to avoid. Fortunately, Japan is always a place that she loves to visit, since it has that blend of supernatural oddities and metropolis hustle and bustle that Corrine loves from cities, so she counters her worries by taking a sleeping pill before boarding the plane and listening to some lo-fi hip hop as she goes to sleep. By the time she wakes up, she's in Hikohime City and ready to start another life.

Although she usually likes to start each life with a brand new identity, her lack of finances and time forced her to sign up for the Earth Defense Section as the oldest alias in her collection; Corrine Prosser-Mayfield. Not only is Prosser-Mayfield one of her few aliases that can actually leave the country without immediately getting arrested, but she's able to remember enough bits and pieces of Prosser-Mayfield's backstory to satisfy anybody curious enough to know where she came from.

As Corrine got her luggage (a backpack filled only with clothes and toiletries), she boards a bus to downtown Hikohime. Once at the Bus Depot, she looks up the route closest to Dolcorde, then boards it and uses the downtime to review everything she could remember about Corrine Prosser-Mayfield. She ended up missing her stop, so she got out as soon as she realized her error and relied on her senses to locate the building.

Well, it didn't look like a building, so much as a small town. Corrine was immediately reminded of the colleges she attended that tried to sap every cent they could get out of her like a leech, then that retirement community that she lived in just to see what life was like as an old person, and worst of all...those hotels that catered to the needs of the wealthy. She wasn't able to get a room, so she had to make do as a member of the cleaning staff named Samantha Lopez, and...oh damn. Those were the worst 6 months of her life. She is NEVER returning to the Samantha Lopez alias.

Corrine touches the barrier that seemingly kept the buildings hidden from the public eyes, and it rippled like a pebble tossed into a pond. It looked safe for her to go through, so she carefully stepped through the barrier and towards this giant facility. To her dismay, she was greeted by a Taipei Doll that wanted to lead her to the orientation location. She knows that the Taipei Doll means her no harm, so she follows it to the lobby, but she's still weirded out by the Doll. She's watched enough horror movies to feel unease from sentient toys and dolls.

Once inside, she noticed a plethora of magical girls (and one guy; he must be feeling really out of place) talking to each other or doing their best to avoid eye contact with everyone. She has no desire to draw attention to herself, so she just walks towards a wall and tries to see if there are any refreshments available.

At least, that's what she wanted to do, but she instead looks at the faces of everyone else present and can't help but wonder.

"How old ARE these kids?"

This pokemon appears shy and quiet, but bring up a subject that interests them and they can speak for hours nonstop.
Luna nervously straighted her glasses as they followed a Taipei into one of the large buildings. “I don’t get why you do that, they don’t help unless you’re reading anyway.” Came the voice from her shoulder. Now free of the backpack, the familiar seemed to have decided to hitch a free ride in place of walking any distance himself.
“I like them! They’re a fashion statement!” Kuru was right though, normally Luna would have taken off the reading glasses already. But now that she was actually here her nerves had flared up, and they were good for keeping her hands busy at least.

She followed the doll to what appeared to be a reception room, where several others girls were already waiting. Luna sank down into an unoccupied chair then looked around at the other girls. After a few moments, Luna noticed that Kuru wasn’t with her. She decided that he’d most likely run off after one of the dolls, annoying more info out of them or something. She could feel that he was still close enough to allow her to transform at least, but it was still a bit worrying, as he had her only weapon with him, and if anything attacked…

Just as the though crossed her mind, a shadowy figure rose up out of one of the other girls shadow. Luna let out a cry as she leapt to her feet, once again transforming and whirling out her shield as she waited for the attack. It came in the form of a soundwave, shouting a greeting. Wait, it wanted to talk? She’d yet to see a monster try to communicate before, but then her time as a Magical Girl had been short so far, indeed she had yet to see a creature take on this humanoid a form before either.
“Who are you? Why were you in that girls shadow!?” The words came out with a squeak as Luna failed to mask her fear.

'Tough Crowd' Midna thought. she was waiting at least a few more reaction. well... it looked like everyone was in their own universes.

First, she pointed the only male of the group. "I did shout because i wanted to be noticed, after all..." she turned around to point the trigger happy magical girl." I used my magical girl ability to hide in her shadow. And my name is Midna: The Twiligth Specter. Nice to meet you." She bowed down while levitating, without landing to ground or spinning like crazy.

Today was a bad Day.

For a lot of people Today would be a great day. Being able to go to Japan and have superpowers while being able to be a magical girl would be the dream for most people. Abigail, Is not one of those people. Going to Japan was nice enough but well, most people don't realize the curse that comes with having these powers.

That's probably why she had been so late to get up and get going. Theoretically she could run out and show up late, claim she was dealing with some minor crimes she saw on the way. But that excuse is probably best saved for a later point, and she's gonna be hounded about this until she gets there.

Making her way through the crowds were fairly easy. People were definitely staring, which granted is gonna happen when a tall red head walks through a crowd. Still she would eventually find her way. And that she did.

That's certainly... a crowd of people, Abigail thought to herself. The group gathered was very clearly standing around a doll, in all likelihood waiting for the last person (herself) to show up. Walking towards the group, Abigail begins to speak, "Apologies for being late. I got caught up in some minor business." Hopefully this would end quickly enough.
